Dear Yuletide author, here are my wishes, likes and dislikes for the season. I'm throwing a bunch of prompts at you, but I would also love to be surprised. All my small fandoms tend to be very small, and any new fic is a delight. General likes:

• Identity issues

• Worldbuilding and backstory fic (which still contains nominated characters)

My fandoms, in no particular order - Fandom 1: Rómeó és Júlia : The Hungarian musical version of Romeo and Juliet, heavy on the fire, glitter and leather visuals. Character(s): Tybalt Tybalt is my favorite character, and the only one I felt I needed to match on to enjoy this fandom. I'd be delighted with a Tybalt solo piece, but I'm also up for fic about Tybalt + any other canon character, nominated or not. I am especially fascinated by his interactions with Lady Capulet and the different servants. If you want to write shipfic, I'd be delighted, but it's definitely not a demand. Prompt suggestions: I love IN SPAAAACE stories, What If? scenarios (equally tragic or less), m/m porn, interactions between Capulets who don't know how to love each other, stories about Verona being awful, Tybalt having issues such as internalized homophobia/caring-for-people-phobia/sexism, magical realism, snapshots of when everybody was younger and the world less horrible. Do Not Wants: Anything fetishising Tybalt's epilepsy, AUs set in the "modern normal world", trans*/genderswitch/sexswitch fic of any kind, realized Tybalt/Julia (onesided pining is fine!), sexual content with pre-pubescent characters, kidfic, a poetry fill or second-person POV. Fandom 2: Die Vermessung der Welt | Measuring the World : The scientific adventures of naturalists and mathematicians Character(s): Alexander von Humbold, Aimé Bonpland Science bros in the jungle! Yaay! I love stories of discovery and exploration, and Jules Verne used to be one my absolute favorite authors. The dry humor and slightly more critical look at this era that Kehlmann writes really entertained me, so if you feel like imitating the style of the novel, or other 18th and 19th century travelogues, please go ahead. I enjoy movie and book canon equally, so feel free to mix it up. Prompt suggestions: Friendship or slash would be equally appreciated. I just want Alexander and Aimé discover things and try to do science together! Adventures in the Amazon, their first meeting, a bit of Aimé backstory, culture clash comedy, hijinks and hair-raising experiments in the name of science... It's all good. Sex? Sure, sex in the jungle or on a ship or anywhere. I have a particular fondness for long-suffering Aimé, but also love it if there's some hint that Alexander does care beneath that stuffy Prussian self-discipline. If you like hurt/comfort scenarios, I'd enjoy one in combo with this. Competency at science, doing science, indulging in nature, jungle descriptions, biology refs etc would be spiffy. If you want to write about them a bit later in life, feel free to draw from Wikipedia or go AU and have them set up a research center together, all is great. Optional crossover is very optional, but meeting Captain Nemo, other Verne characters or fictional/real explorers of the world would be neat. Do Not Wants: No modern AU. No parasites! I don't mind insects, snakes and other creepy-crawlies, but no internal parasites like tapeworm or bot flies. No deathfic for either of the nominated characters. No excessive homophobia, internalized or other. It's IC for Humboldt to have conflicting feelings re sexuality, but not too much, please. Fandom: La vie parisienne : The adorably silly operetta about two dandies, a courtesan and scandals in Paris. Character(s): Bobinet, Metélla, Raoul de Gardefeu This canon is wonderfully silly and the sexual humor is so relaxed. I love the whole lighthearted air of cancan and easy life in it. Prompt suggestions: Here I'd love shenigans, friendship, and/or threesomes. I enjoy the sexual relationship both as a V with Métella in the middle, or as a complete triad. I'd love a fic that is about how the one develops to the other, but I'd prefer no Bobinet/Gardefeu-only ship. If you know a lot about Paris and want to work in the satire of manners that is in the original, I'd be stunned and delighted, but it's not something I expect at all. Preferred setting: Period or modern (or timeless regie verse) both work. My favorite productions are those put up by the Budapesti Operettszínház and the Opera Lyon, but it would be interesting if you take off from a different production as well. I'd like stories about the characters attempting something - a get rich scheme, fake marriage (For Reasons), trying to get a job, becoming a more famous singer - and failing entertainingly. I'd love something with period travel, trains and ships and whatnot. Maybe they go to Sweden to visit the Gondremarcks? Fluffy feel-good things like a shopping trip or an opera visit (maybe with some 'action' in the box) would also be nice. Getting Bobinet out of the marriage he's stuck with in some endings is a plot I could read a million variants on. Do Not Wants: Excessive angst, unhappy endings, Bobinet married off to his cousin or anyone else who isn't Métella or Gardefeu), trans*/genderswitch/sexswitch fic of any kind, kidfic. Fandom: Szentivánéji álom | A Midsummer Night’s Dream : The Hungarian musical version of a A Midsummer Night's Dream, also heavy on the leather and fire dept. With added feathers. Character(s): Oberon, Titánia, Puck I ship Oberon, Titánia and Puck in pretty much any combo. As long as there is loyalty and emotion I am fine with any constellations from gen and platonic love to orgies. Feel free to focus more on one or two of my nominated characters in your story, but don't entirely ignore any of them. And, of course, add in as many other fairies, humans and whatnot that you need to fill out the story! Prompt suggestions: What I really, really want is a fixit for the end. Re-fairyize Oberon and Titánia if at all possible! But, if you don't feel like writing that story, pre-canon or adventures in humanity also interest me. What else do I like? Fairies failing at being human. Fairies having lots of feelings, but not knowing how to express them. Comedy, angst, threesomes, growing closer, growing 'up' from timeless childishness (?), travelfic, getting to know the human characters closer, Puck trying to fix things and messing up, Oberon messing up, everybody messing up! Or something showing how they got to the point they were at in canon, a snapshot from their long history together. Do Not Wants: No fic focusing on pregnancy/having children/raising children. No death of any nominated characters. While the setting is vague and hard to fix to any time, I don't want modern-world AU, definitely not set in the US. Please do not write this canon as if it were the Shakespeare 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' script. Because while the ending bother me I'd rather have it fixed than ignored. Fandom: Valhalla : Danish comic by Peter Madsen, based on the Norse mythology. Character(s): Thor, Loke Prompt suggestions: Adventures in the viking age! Since there's no fic that I know of, I'd love anything with the general feel of the comic - friendship, adventure, misunderstandings... Other characters from the canon also warmly welcomed, especially Sif, Odin and the human children. Not very fond of Quark, so feel free to skip him. Otherwise, I found the movie fun and wouldn't mind it as a jumping off-point. Things I'm curious about is how Thor and Loke became friends and what happened after the canon (I mean, I assume Thor came and picked him up, but then what?!). Any adventure built like a myth, where there's adventure and giant fighting and Loke being a sneak I'd enjoy. What if Thor, Loke and maybe some other gods too at some point got one over on Oden? Feel free to write the character names in Old Norse versions, or Danish or Swedish or whatever you prefer. Do Not Wants: Absolutely no MCU involved, please. Nothing too angsty, I like the earthy humor and overall positive outlook of the canon. No setting AU.
