"... it's an essentially political debate, not a scientific one."

The time has come for bold, sweeping statements, like "right", "wrong, "true", and "satanic horseshit"

"... there is a scientific consensus on the reality of anthropogenic climate change. Climate scientists have repeatedly tried to make this clear. It is time for the rest of us to listen."

Hi Clae,

Don't have time to follow the debate myself but since you believe its over you might be interewsted in checking out these sites"

The Global Warming Skeptic http://meteo.lcd.lu/globalwarming/

Climate Audit http://www.climateaudit.org/

BTW I came across the first via the second and the second via a lastsuperpower topic on the "Right to Revolution" http://www.lastsuperpower.net/disc/members/129730379286?b_start:int=0#143456088317

Apologies in advance for being unlikely to follow up further here but I'm having difficulty keeping up with anything and am generally confining myself to lastsuperpower (where you might also have better chance of getting a response from others on this topic - check out lastsuperpower - there are several related topics and others you might be interested in).

Then why did you bother posting it? Is the fact that it has a whole load of links in it (that you havent read) supposed to prove something?

And dude, this is not "talking about the weather". Don't be an ass.

Yep, large collection of links is supposed to prove that no amount of authoritative pronouncements that a debate is over result in a debate being over.

As for proving something about an issue in debate by claiming that a debate is over - "Don't be an ass".

PS I bothered posting it because YOU claimed to be interested in the topic and therefore might find them interesting. Or was your only interest in shouting "resistance is futile" rather than in the actual topic?
