More surgery!
I had to have surgery again three weeks ago because there was still an obstruction. I had even gone back to work for a day, only to have to leave and later find out I was in for another operation. They were going to go in again laparoscopically, but when I woke up, I was in a ton of pain. They ended up having to cut me sternum-to-belly-button to resolve the problem. I was in the hospital for a week and recovering at my parents' house since then until my mobility returned. I am back at home now and doing well. I appreciate everyone who has wished me well during this time. I've gone through a lot of pain and worry, so it's nice to see people care.
On the upside, this has been a great weight-loss tool. I've been eating like a bariatric lap-band patient, so the pounds have come off. I've lost over 40 since the first incident. I hate that I had to go through it, but again, I'm trying to see the bright side. :)
