Reflection Lake
We're in Mt. Rainier National Park now. It's another lesson in the grandeur of nature. The only hint of civilization in this photo is the jet stream in the blue part of the sky. Of course there were people in our background but they didn't count unless you have no brain filter. It's interesting that the sound of jets has been the most ubiquitous thing that brings civilization to mind, so far, in our journeys.
Mt. something-or-other
Another delightful lunch, with gorgeous views in all directions. The above photo was from the back window of our truck.
Mt. Rainier
This was from the front window, although we actually were tailgating. The temperature was 72º and we were watching the raven soar above the trees. The whispy "cloud" that you see working its way down the slope of the mountain is steam from an active vent. Mt. Rainier is rated as one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the lower 48. We just can't help pressing our luck a bit.
