It’s been light years since I’ve posted. And yes, I know a light year is a measurement of distance, not time. We’ll just start with this week. I don’t recall anything too exciting occurring prior to that. Did I ever talk about the Acme Comedy Club I brought my friends to for my birthday? It was actually pretty funny. Everyone seemed to be laughing anyway.
Monday was Valentine’s Day. I bought Laura a pink long stem rose dipped in 24-carat gold. Exciting. Then I attempted to cook for her. Apparently a clove of garlic is different than a head of garlic. Meaning the pesto didn’t come out too well. Next time it’ll be better though!
But seriously, how was I supposed to know the difference? Nobody ever taught me it. It’s not necessarily intuitive. It’s just one of things that everyone seems to know but me. There are a lot of those things out there, and I usually end up looking stupid. But that’s nothing new to me.
I just wasted my President’s Day doing putting away laundry and watching Gargoyle’s. There are a lot of Star Trek actors on there.
Anyway, back to reality. Tuesday I went to the Cheesecake Factory with Laura H. It gets confusing. But I did find stuff I should buy for my home at the dollar store. Like wine glasses.
Wednesday I’m not sure what happened. Maybe Laura came over. That would make sense. But that could’ve been Thursday. Who knows? Friday I went with Laura to see the movie Sideways. It was good, and funny. I just remember hearing people reviewing talking about how incredibly humorous it was. That always bothers me a bit. I mean, it had some really funny parts, but the whole movie wasn’t funny. In fact, most of it was slightly serious. I don’t know, it’s just whenever someone talks about how funny a movie is I think they’re talking about the whole movie not isolated parts.
Saturday I was about to go see Tara but then decided to go to a Poker Tournament. It was probably the right decision since I saw her yesterday and won $120. So yesterday Tara and I ate at Old Chicago and watched Pirates of the Caribbean or a I like to call it, a less funny Monkey Island. Hehehe. It was pretty good, even it is from Jerry Bruckheimer. I swear, he couldn’t make a movie that doesn’t make a lot of money if he tried. It’s annoying. It’s always nice to see Tara and she gave me some presents. Most were good, some were odd. At least a bit of them were thoughtful.
Thought of the Day: This article is some of the worst crap I’ve ever read. I could write better insight than this.
