Oh man, Thursday I did nothing, if I recall correctly, which I rarely do. Friday was work then I went out with Austin, ended up eating dinner at Chi Chi's with him and his father, I was fully prepared to pay for my meal except at the end of the meal I completely forgot. I think his dad picked up the check and I didn't even realize it until two days later. I never even thanked him. It was pretty bad.
Saturday Austin, Nick, and I watched horror movies and also went to see The Rundown starring the one and only The Rock. Actually, it was pretty entertaining. I didn't go home disappointed and would recommend it to most people, as long you watch it with a light heart. Don't take things so seriously, it's bad for you health. :-P
Sunday I went to the Renaissance Festival. It was pretty fun, I wanted to buy a necklace but I'm so damn indecisive. I don't know what I want. Grrrr, part of me wants to wear my father dog tags from when he was in the military, isn't that weird? Especially knowing how much I hate the military. Well, I don't hate the military; I hate what the government does with it. But I must confess, most people who want to go into the military or have come out of it are people I end up not being too fond of. Anyway.
My mom was disappointed I wasn't going to wear a costume. I went there with Austin, Nick, and two of Austin's friends, and it just so happened that Austin had an extra plumed hat. So what did I do? The only thing I COULD do, I wore the plumed hat with a long sleeve sweatshirt, jeans, a jean jacket, and my Velcro sneakers. When I got to Ren Fest, I decided to buy a wooden sword and shield, it was dubbed the greatest Ren Fest costume ever, by my friends of course.
That night we played poker. I lost $5.
Monday nothing much happened. Just work, etc. Tuesday work was a little fun because the Twins were playing during it. My coworkers were mesmerized by the java thing from www.mlb.com. Hehehe, in the 9th inning we got smart and turned on the radio. Twins win! Can't believe we beat the Yankees, of course, we still have to beat them two more times. Tuesday night I fell asleep early. Odd thing is, I still was a little late for work. I just can't seem to get out of bed in the mornings; I think it's a problem.
Today nothing much has happened either. My life isn't very exciting at all these days. My parents go out of town this weekend though, big party Saturday! Everyone reading my journal is invited. :)
Thought of the Day: So I lost $5 in poker. Well, Nick won $9, but he owes me $15. So I said instead of me paying him $5 he could just owe me $10. Naturally he said he'd rather take my $5 and write me a check for $15. That's makes a lot of sense. He said cash to him is more valuable than money in his account. Oh, that's a great attitude. He's currently unemployed by the way. I don't know how my friends can afford to buy so much anyway. I dunno, maybe it's just me. I mean heck, I'm the guy who panics if my bank account goes below $300.
Quote of the Day: "Men are stupid, they always want something like that to happen but once it does, they have no idea what to do," - Terry, a coworker of mine.
