Hey guys do me a favor and don't vote for Initiative 423 also known as the State Spending lid or SOS(Stop OverSpending)Nebraska initiative. The idea is basically to limit state spending growth to 3% per year over the next 10 years. While this sounds like a good idea, in reality it's not so hot. Mandatory programs like Medicade have grown in spending an average of 7.9% every year. So what happens if Mandatory programs spending goes up? Well it's got to come from some where so the University is going to get F'd in the A.
If the university has to do some massive cuts my job will be some of the first to be cut. Also they have already predicted that student tuition will go up to $986 per credit hour. So please do me a favor and don't F the university in the A.
