Work?
I was right. A couple of my hours got cut because the picnic was moved inside. I still worked a bunch and we got to eat at the beginning of the shift (on the clock) because nothing had to be done. And then we got to put plates of (good) food in the warmer. Very nice for a change.
And that's all I'll work for a while.
I got a call back from Weis. I have to take a pre-employment screening test tomorrow. That Weis is out of my way. But if I get the job and they give me hours, which I am hoping so hard for, then I think I can spare some driving time and gas money. I haven't gotten any other calls. Looks like I'll be making more stops on my way back through. There are a couple plazas I never went to. Still a drive. Not as far if I happen to get hired. Which still sucks because by the time I would be hired I'd be leaving. That frustrates me. I should have done this a month ago. I'm horrible at prioritizing and thinking ahead and taking care of things that need to be taken care of. Especially me. Especially working and living on my own. Hm...
In other news. I heard from Christina. It was a general email to me, Gabriel, and Suzie. She made it sound like she had been travelling. Did she even get my email about my projects and when we might be able to meet? I don't know. But I heard from Gabriel and I have started to figure out travelling plans with him. That is very helpful and reassuring. Something somewhat solid out of all this other stuff. And mom questions him and me staying a night there before travelling to Penland. I don't think Christina would have mentioned it to me if he wasn't a reliable and trustworthy person.
Anyway, I've been reading House of Leaves. It is a really strange book. Interesting. Long. I'm over half way through.
