Well, now is the time I write my post convention report, and I'm unsure on how to write it heh. It was amazing, being around so many Furries alone made me happy that's for sure.
Well, Tuesday morning I was up early for a taxi to take me over to the airport where I was due to get my flight in the early hours of the day. My first time flying and it was all good, I was amazed on how quickly we was over the English coast line, twenty minutes was all it took. Not an hour later we were landing at Frankfurt Am Main airport. Now, after being in Terminal one for ages (where i thought i was meeting the coach trip lot) I phoned my contact Kisu and found out, nope it was Terminal 2. So being the plucky Brit I thought 'Well, can't be that far to Terminal 2, I'll walk'. Wrong, it was quite a walk in fact, but in the end I made it; it was then a matter of waiting for our coach to arrive and whisk us off to Suhl and the Ringberg hotel. Upon arrival I was greeted by people who knew me straight off the bat and I got checked in, dropped my kit off and began night number one.
Wednesday broke with a desire to get going, but knowing the convention was still yet to properly kick off, but there was a BBQ to look forward too. So after spending the day running into people, meeting new ones and chatting and drinking the BBQ came. 15 euro and you got to eat and drink as much as you wanted, so us Brits were loving it. That night was spent drinking again with my fellows and new found friends.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday were pretty much all following the same Template of waking up late morning after little sleep, attend a panel or two in the day, buy things and then move into the realms of drinking the night away and chatting. Saturday night saw BBF's dance and early Saturday saw the Motorfurs meet. I attended this to get photos of the vehicles, and came back with video clips too heh.
Sunday was the wind down day of the convention, slowly things stopped and some started to leave for home. Me and some friends started to enlist furs into the British Army for next years Eurofurence theme for a laugh, and then I went with the fur suiters down into Suhl in the afternoon to photo their fursuit walk. That night we had the dead dog dance and got a date as such to it, a nice Tiger from London heh.
Monday we left, after sitting in the lobby for ages, seeing my friends leave the PCD kicked in a little, but chatting with 2 Gryphon helped somewhat, and by the time I was at the airport the focus on getting to my flight over laid my depression. I got home in an orderly time and started to unpack some of my stuff, though before bed my PCD returned for a while; it's gone now as I've got work and such to focus on again.
Now the 'normal' life of this dragon returns to him, working most days, sleeping most weekends. But least for a time he got photos to sort and videos to edit; to in the end share with all who attended or not the awesome Eurofurence. It's just a shame we will no longer be at the Ringberg Hotel for it.
