(no subject)
Episode 2 of Korra really brought the noise, in terms of feeling like Avatar. The Korra/Tenzni dynamic was a hilarious parallel of Meghan and I, in that Meghan tries to do everything via blind, blunt force.
Korra/Mako seems like the new Zutara.
And, Okay, I hate nerd conventions and such, but in the event that I ever get roped into one, I now feel if I finally have a character that would work: Bolin the pro-earth bender. I fucking LOVE the character designs for these guys. Before, my go to was going going to be Professor Tomoe.
In other news, I ordered something for Karen and Fletcher in January but got back-ordered. Guess that was good, though, because now I have Amazon Prime, and when I put the order back in today, shipping was free! It's completely random, and was likely Meghan's idea. Scheduled to arrive the 28th.
It's a wine cave (mini-fridge); these are what people use to make specialized cheese, as they have digital thermometers that let you go from 46 degrees to 65 degrees (most fridges are like 38 degrees).
So, yeah.
In other, other news, we should hear back today as to whether or not we got the apartment. It's 2 blocks closer to Central Square, but on the same street. We'd have 2 bedrooms, a back porch, and I'd have a strange little cubby-office to hole up in.
In last news, I'm doing Run for Your Lives on May 5th. In honor of that,
The stubble-beard is back for the next month, in preparation to becoming the SHAEL IRONHEEL GOATEE. I may, or may not deck-out as Shael for the race, depending on the weather conditions. Shael was last seen as an NPC in the Low-Level Girls campaign; they viewed him through a scrying mirror in an alternate version of the dungeon they currently crawled. He was hunting one of the Xards (they later came across his handiwork... a dead Xard by the name of Alexandre Dragul).
Fight the power.
