I am at the Adobe Max conference in Las Vegas. Vegas is an intersting place. Actually, since I have been spending almost all of my time in my room working side jobs, my opinion of Vegas is incomplete. However, since
princessloki will be here this evening and we're going to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary here, I am sure my opinion will be subject to change.
The conference is actually very informative. There are like 3000 people here. I have taken some courses on CSS and a very informative ccourse on writing help documentation.
The conference is in the Venetian, which is very impressive. It houses both The Blue Man Group and Phantom of the Opera. I am pretty fucking sick of Phantom music everywhere I go, though. I fail to see the story here, aside from the fact that it is really just a musical version of a Law & Order SVU episode.
Speaking of Blue Man Group, they opened up the general session of the conference. That was easily the high point of the conference. The rest has been cool, but that was over the top.
princessloki and I are going to see them tomorrow night.
Checking out the new things that Adobe has coming out has been very exciting. It's also ben sort of intimidating. You ever watch a prono and feel...inadequate? That's how watching these professionals whip out applications in like 30 seconds makes me feel. They make it look so effortless. It's like, oh, yeah, we got really bored and decided to build our own MP3 player application.
They did. In about 3 minutes. It was very cool. And disgusting. Fuckers.
As for the aniversary vacation, we have Hoover Dam planned, as well as the Star Trek Experience. I have a couple of surprises I'll post about after the fact that I hope go over well.
I've been having a good time. It's gonna get that much better in about 5 hours. I can't wait for her to get here. I've missed her.
