You can't handle the tooth!

I feel infinitely better than I did 2 1/2 hours ago.

I had a tooth extracted at around 4:00 - a baby tooth. See, I have this genetic thing that is very much a double-edged sword. Apparently, I will never have permanent 2nd bicuspids - I just never grew em. Instead, I have two baby teeth in my lower set, a hole on the right-hand side of the upper, and on the left, the remnants of a long-destroyed baby tooth (to be removed in the next couple of weeks).

Anyway, where the now removed tooth was, I got an infection that flared up sometime around Wednesday afternoon. By Wednesday night I was in intolerable pain, by Thursday it got bad enough for me to actually call a Dentist (first time in, oh, almost 5 years?). I had an abscess that went from non-existent on Wedneday morning to 1cm x 1cm Thursday morning to 2cm x 1 1/2 cm this morning. It's currently receding, no longer putting pressure on my teeth, and willing shortly be attacked by antibiotics. The spot's a little tender, but otherwise it's ok.

Up until about 4, I was a pissy, pissy bitch. Sorry to anyone who's had to deal with me for the past 48 hours or so. It's kinda hard to function normally when your abilities to read, speak, and think clearly have been taken from you. I think tonight I'm going to try to relax - I haven't even been able to sleep well for the past couple of nights, and it put me in a foul mood, so I want to try and recover my usual laid-back demanor as quickly as possible. Thank you - Drive Thru.
