urkey Day
Finally a family holiday that didnt end with me being depressed and lonely. At the last minute my cousin Richie called me and asked if I was doing anything. He invited me up for thanksgiving, since hs family wasnt celebrating til friday and he had nothing to do, and couldnt cook worth a damn. He already had a 20lb turkey and no clue what to do with it. Myself, I love cooking and he knows that.
So I rolled up, in the first snow of the year (WOOT!), all the way there in a blizzard. Was a fun drive, till I got near his place and stuck behind people doing 15 in a 25.. bleh. We hit the grocery store got a few things and went home. We stayed up playing Fable long into the night, as qell as a few other games, and getting drunk in the process.
Next day, I got up, and made one of the best turkey dinners ever. Even better than the one I made for my last GF. I tell you, that show "Gpd Eats" kicks ass. they not only tell you how to cook, they tell you WHY you should or shoudnt do everything. They give you all the science behind the cooking, and my brain eats that stuff up. I saw th special on turkey, and mine turned out awesome with their advice. 25LB of Turkey, My special mashed potatoes, and of course homemade gravy. Add some biscuits, and we were in heaven!
