New Projects for 2013

Hey there, lovelies!

We wanted to see if there's any interest in new projects for this coming April to November.

Below are some of the suggestions and themes we cooked up. We're going to go with the top two most popular choices and create community tags for those themes. All you have to do is draw your own take on either one (or both) themes any time you want and tag your entries. (See similar past projects: Artist & Animated Styles)

Immortal Merlin - drawing Immortal!Merlin in any point in history/time e.g. Caveman!Merlin, WWII!Merlin, Future!Merlin

Scene You Wanted to See - scenes you wish had happened in canon e.g. Court Sorcerer!Merlin

Modern Reimagination - modernise any screencap or promo shots of Merlin e.g. drawing Arthur and the Knights as a polo team or motorcycle gang inspired by this pic.

Genderbend - draw female/male characters as male/female characters.

Good vs Evil - draw evil/good characters as good/evil characters.

Deaged - drawing Merlin characters as teenagers or children.

BBC Canon vs Legend - be inspired by the legendary versions of the Merlin characters or comparison study.

Colour Scheme - red, blue, black/white, etc.

Item Challenge - a list of 10 random items will be posted (e.g. sword, mask, rose, feather, item made of metal) Artists have to be creative and try to include as many of the items in their piece.

Imitation Challenge - this is a little different from the rest. The basic idea is for participants to choose a fellow fanartist and try to draw a Merlin art in their chosen artist's style. To make things fun, we could make this an anon challenge and guess who drew what.
