Many thanks! It took some fussing to figure out which places on his face would be shadowed from both light sources. And I had to restrain myself from putting too many highlights in his hair, or it started to look much lighter than it is, lol.

Wow, this is gorgeous. I love the blue gleam which makes it look mysterious and magical.
And it reminds me of how much I miss Balinor and how much I wish there'd been a reunion with Hunith after Merlin found him...

Thanks a lot for sharing! ♥

Thank you very much! The idea for the blue was the "Aha!" moment that got this to come together.

We were talking about his brief appearance in chat yesterday, and it is hard to believe he was only in one episode. He has such a large presence in his absence, doesn't he? How much do I wish that the fireside chat between Merlin and Arthur, about trying to live up to the memory of a dead father, had NOT been cut. *sigh*

Anyway, I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for commenting! <3

Oh, really lovely. I love the way that really does look he's illuminated by that blue light. The likeness is really good too.

I love the way you got a bit of knotwork into the griffin's wings and tail, very clever. Great work!

Thank you! The lighting was pleasantly challenging; I had fun working out what areas would be in shadow from both light sources. The knotwork is essentially original, if not particularly complex, inspired by bits and pieces I found while poking at google and a book I found. I really wanted to get a bit of it in the piece somewhere, and the griffin seemed like the best place to do so. :D
