So Maggie has introduced me to a new band, er, new to me. They're called Rilo Kiley, and I got to see them the other day when I went up to Knoxville, which was a kickass-and-a-half time to begin with, but the Rilo made it all the awesomer. Add to that the fact that it was free, and add to all THAT the fact that the band's lead guitarist and ...sort of, co-lead singer is Pinsky from Salute your Shorts. No, he doesn't just look like him, it is him. I've done the research. He changed his name from Soper to Senett, so that people couldn't recognize him, but that's Pinksy, without any doubt in my mind. I dont' have a good picture of him, sadly. Seems like he avoids it so as not to get recognized. But you can try the Rilo Kiley website, it rocks pretty hard on its own, and you can find a couple candids of him, though they are few. If you weren't one of those priviledged few whose mother's loved them enough to expose them to vast amounts of children's television, you may still remember him from the tween-to-adolescent demographic-serving "Boy Meets World", in which he played the skinny bully with the greasy hair. My how little Blake has grown.
