Please help my aunt
This is copy/pasted from a facebook page about my (ex)Aunt and her family. Please read the letter and see below for my comments. Thank you.
“Hello friends. I’ve created a group because this means the world to me. My very best friend of 20 years Natahne, her husband Russell, their 7 year old daughter Yanna Dew and their sweet dog Bella have less than 30 days to move out of their lovely Petaluma home that they’ve lived in for years. How did this happen? Natahne’s dumb ass landlord hadn’t paid the mortgage for who knows how long. Now the bank’s got the house and Natahne can’t get any rent money OR deposit back since the asshole landlord spent it. They could sue, but aforementioned asshole has no money. They just found out on Oct. 2nd that they have to be out by Nov. 4th. Just like that.
Remember when my apartment burned down on September of 2004? A lot of you jumped in and assisted me in any way you could. Miss Natahne immediately rallied the troops and with Randy Maupin’s help, threw a fabulous benefit party at the Cat Club, which raised almost $3000. That got me a deposit and first month’s rent for an apartment (the one that I still live in), food, toiletries, and there was enough left over for me to get all my surviving clothes dry cleaned (everything had smoke damage). Between Natahne and The Lamplighters (who also provided cash and home/kitchen furnishings) I was able to land on my feet in record time with minimal trauma.
Now about Natahne and Russell: For years they fostered sickly babies and kids who were usually born drug addicted or with fetal alcohol syndrome, until they fell in love with Yanna (who’s got a heart condition) and adopter her. Natahne has home-schooled Yanna since the start. Natahne is also a doula and has helped women give birth naturally for years. She’s also an expert at homeopathic pre and post-natal care and practically anything natural.
That all said, I’m trying to do for her what she did for me. Since they can’t get their deposit back it will be extremely difficult for them to get another place, especially in month. And who knows what this did to their credit?! I myself am in a financial stranglehold, but I will help with any cash I can spare. I ask that you pay it forward in honor of anyone who’s helped you in the past. Most people I know are struggling right now, but anything, seriously anything you can spare will help this wonderfully giving family get out of a mess and into a new home.

Natahne was married to my uncle for years. She has since remarried and adopted an adorable daughter. She has always treated my family well and been there for me personally when i needed her. She is an amazingly strong woman who has had a run of bad luck. If you can help at all it would mean the world to me (and to her).
