IMO the picspam image requirements are just too big, especially for 6 caps. The height requirement is the biggest problem. For instance, one block of 6 here should be enough for one picspam. You can't be creative with the restrictions as it means the picspam is bigger than most monitor sizes.

I'm sorry. I don't think the requirements are too big. In fact, I don't think a 500x450px picspam is very big at all. Something like this one by delacourtings for this challenge is what I'm looking for when I think of a picspam. The example you linked to looks like a banner to me. However, I suppose if you wanted to do something more horizontal than a typical picspam, it would be fine if it was at least 950px total.

And it's not at all bigger than most monitor sizes? I'm really confused by that comment.

Is it okay to mix and match? I mean, for one list, I can do some icons, a picspam, a couple of sigtags; it doesn't all have to be the same type of graphic for one list, it can be various types? I assume so, but just to be sure. :)

How strict are the categories supposed to be? If I do most listened to from last.fm charts, could bands or duos be mixed in with singer-songwriters or do I need separate lists?

Including singers/bands/etc would be fine to combine. :)
