Challenge 046: Stake Your Claim
CHALLENGE #46
Description This is the first part of a larger challenge that I will post within the next week. For this challenge, you will be claiming a topic and a technical element for the upcoming challenge. You will be using this topic and this technical element for ALL the graphics in the upcoming challenge.
• The upcoming challenge will be worth 100 points so make sure you choose topics and technical elements you will be able to use for the entire challenge. Graphics types will be worth the standard amount of points (as seen here) so take that into consideration when choosing.
• Once you have picked your topic and technical element, you cannot change them. This challenge is open as long as the upcoming challenge will be open so you have time to consider your options.
• More than one person can choose the same topic or technical element so you don't have to worry about getting your claim before someone else.
• The level of difficulty of your technical element is up to you and may vary depending on your abilities. We always love to see people challenge themselves and put thought into their work, regardless of their skill with graphics.
• Feel free to ask questions if you aren't sure if your topic or technical element fits the challenge. I'll respond as soon as I can. ♥
Topics: some ideas could be a movie, tv show, video game, character, pairing, band, celebrity, something non-fandom and specific, or something else that can be used to make graphics.
Technical Element: could be type of graphics (sig tags, icons, tumblr graphics, picspams, etc.), a color, a typeface, a type of coloring (muted, vibrant, vintage, b&w, etc.), a type of crop, a technique (manips, blending, blocking, replaced background, etc.), a type of texture (light, grunge, decorative, stock, etc.), or anything else that could be considered a technical element.
For example, I might choose Orphan Black + sig tags and make 20 Orphan Black sig tags or I might choose Mr. Robot + muted coloring and make 100 points worth of work split between various types of graphics that are all from Mr. Robot and all colored in a muted style. Or I might choose a technique much more difficult for me to challenge myself.
