you missed the evening where he discovered the mother lode of all 84 Real American Heroes on one server, free for the streaming or download as any man so chose unto himself...it was a beautiful thing. We spent the better part of an hour...he didnt seem to have heard most of them, and i filled in the fifteen or so that i hadnt heard. I have them all on cd now...in the mans own words:
Swordforger: these are brilliant
more or less. He has respect for the genre, and only the careful and devoted listening of very many of these one-minute gems could bring a beautiful parody like this one above. so without further ado, i give you:
(drum intro--BUH bum, ba BUM buh bum) Bud Light presents...Real Men of Genius (Real Men of Genius!) Today we salute you, Mr Real American Heroes Commercial Parodist... (Mr Real American Heroes Commercial Parodist!) Millions of Americans were content to listen to, watch, or even download their favorite commercials. You dared to innovate by imitating what you heard... (Time to forge a new path!) Battle-hardened by hours of hearing, you brought your pen to paper in an amazing tribute to the original series... (So new, so classic!) Though your experiences were specific, you made them familiar to us all, while still remaining in the strict confines of the genre... (It's so crowded but beautiful in here!) So crack open an ice-cold Bud Light, Mr. Charles Dickens of the Commercial, because if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then we're practically blushing... (Mr Real American Heroes Comericial Parodist!!)
Not nearly as good as Mike's, but thats hardly a diss..
