Smiles and alien babies
So... block party this weekend. :-D Really excited that everyone thought Isaac's idea was brilliant! I hope it goes well- so far one apartment (Isaac and Jacki) is going to be pretty chill, with wine and cheese-type hanging out, one (Nick and Bryon) is going to be a dance party [no promises as to their taste in dance music, people], and Barbie and I are going to do something in between which has yet to be determined but will certainly have at least one kind of drinking game. Woot.
In other news, thanks for all the birthday wishes, everyone! Marni Polansky is the coolest ever. I'm going on record with that. And who has a 413 number? Because no name popped up with that text message and I have yet to track it down. I should just call it. Eventually. When this week is not crazy with the two jobs, party planning, birthday festivities, Allie being in town, and Sapphire practicing 7 hours a day [although I'm only making it to an average of ~4 due to work] (posting while waiting for practice to start). And I should also call my cousin, who "caught up with me" today by turning 23 but is clearly distinguished from me by virtue of being married with two kids, which continues to freak me out.
Btw, a public service announcement from Melvin: Jessica is white. Let us not forget this crucial fact. Melvin, however, is not white and therefore can make fun of Jessica. Go, Melvin, go.
And as writing this (finishing up a quick meal while typing), I realized that I am extremely Fortunate with a capital F, as I got TWO Fortunes in my Fortune cookie. Also, Grace (of Grace's - did you know they're renovating Trent?) gets excited enough to come around the counter and hug me when I walk in. :)
