Week 14 of 208: Big brief, big dinner

Apr 20, 2017 00:00

Big brief to minister was on Monday.

He's task-oriented all right, with a opening line of "you may take the slides as read, please give me your key points".

SMS is a funny guy, though the joke he made probably shouldn't be reposted in such a forum, plus it requires some context. Hit me up if you wanna satiate your curiosity ;)

That same night decided to hit up Carina, being in the TP area and all. Learnt then the importance of having a book (or a powerbank, depending on personal preference) when meeting up with those who have no worklife balance unpredictable working hours. Optimistic 7.30 was just that, optimistic HAHAHA (guess you'll read this, no hate, no hate)

Saturday was the long long long overdue dinner with the cousins.

Haven't been to their place for so so long, (minus the post-work/workout dinner the day James got back), stimulated a healthy dose of nostalgia.

Sunday was the usual climbing with the usual suspects, except Alan set me a route with a ridiculous start a couple inches off the ground. Felt it in my biceps the next day (strange feeling).

I noticed an episode of melancholy earlier last week, when all the jios for the long weekend were met with variants of "soz have plans already". Guess I'm more socially needy than I initially thought. This bears further observation. Perhaps a function of front loading the social activities? And thus having nothing concrete to look forward to at the end of the week? idk.

musings, family, hdb
