There is a lot of "I am offended because you insist I call you by the name you want to be known by, and that's just like, well not quite the Nazis, but someone you wouldn't call what they wanted to be called" and some "They're all deluded" - but a reasonable number of "If they want to be she, then let them be she," presumably to the chagrin of a number of people with the initials JB.

I confess my memory of the original article - http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2010/oct/29/tributes-for-tube-death-lawyer - left me unclear as what s/he identified as, as family and work seemed distinct identities. Family say Sonia, business say David. (Daily Hate Mail say "cross-dressing lawyer ( ... )
