Awww maaaaaan!!! X) X) The ending, man, and I saw it in the last chapter, and I thought so, but with Joker.. I don't know, you never know. Their argument, and your Bruce, and your Clark's anger at the way Bruce resembles them, could be lost to them, and Bruce laughing!! eeeeee!!!X) X)
Okay... must.. compose.. decent comment...

NOOOOO More flaterry! I am a comment ho
I love all your characters for being able to laugh at themselves. Clark cracked me up there, knowing he's blowing things out of proportion, and not fully knowing what is wrong with him.

Clark is just that to me. He is very self-un-aware. I sort of love characters like that. He struggles with negative and upsetting emotions and is never quite sure why he feels isolated, insecure and awkward, when he doesn't have these qualities. He doesn't realize that these are what make him human, not an ease of going through life. Intelligent, Brave, Compassionate, but no clue.

I also wanted to write from the POV of people who are not only too rough and caustic with each other, but far harder on themselves.

"You know, you don't really laugh a lot,” Clark said.

“Nope. Not me.” Bruce was not in the mood to talk and had fallen into his default mode of utter compliance.

I really liked this discussion! it makes sense in my head, that Bruce will just.. lie like a rug there, and agree with things and try to retreat, especially if he's angry too at Clark for not trusting that he's more of a man than a myth.

Can you believe I stole this idea from a sitcom? Bruce knows all the headgames. Especially the "I-feel-lonely-so-I'll-make-a-dumb-fight-about-you-over-nothing" move. Batman is a bitch to manipulate. Especially when you are a novice like Clark to the concept of Casual Mindf&*ckery. I just hope Clark doesn't get too good at it. I hope that Batman will have to defend his partners naivete and lack of guile for some time. Its codependent but it's endearing.

Bruce looked like he was ashamed of something that he would never tell Clark. Something about how Batman was never going to be a regular person. That he could comprehend the level of compulsion of a serial killer.

It takes one to fight one. An obsessive compulsive, that is, not a serial killer. Man. Bruce's shame here broke my heart a little :( be proud of yourself, Bruce! you kick a lot of ass!!
I try to tell him. But he just keeps sitting in a dark corner hanging upside down, doing sit ups with phone books and talking to himself.
Maybe Batman isn't Macho as I said. Maybe there is a little boy inside of him trying to get out
(Because Batman ate him) Another reason Joker and Batman might make a good couple if Joker wasn't an evil serial killer who only loved himself! Batman hates himself. It would be like Yin and Yan! Or actually it would be more like AN INSANE SERIAL KILLER AND TERRORIST and THE NUTBAG WHO IS JUST RUTHLESS ENOUGH TO KILL HIM AT ANY COST
This reminds me of fricking Miller. (Goes off to read Miller stuff from Romany and Jen)
But Clark says I am being too mean. (And actually would leave Batman if Joker would make him happy.)

Thanks for liking the lines I loved.

These are some delicate gooey little boys and I love them man. I hope to find a beta reader soon so I can turn out something cheerier that turns on a dime. Some PWPs and joke fics. Do you know anyone who likes to read and has a morbid kinky sense of humor?

Thank you so much for four great reviews. I feel spoiled. I hope to add more to the drinking water soon! Thank you Mina!
