I have a confession to make, I like the kits that Rock Racing wears. There, I've said it. I've long thought that their jerseys and shorts stood out from the crowd in a good way, and on more than one occasion have looked at their website longing for a jersey, although without telling me where the chamois comes from I'm not willing to spend $50 on bibs, much less $250. While I looked at the jerseys I had never gone so far as to look at the prices as: 1. I already have a plethora of jerseys, but am constantly short on bibs 2. I don't have the cash to purchase anything right now and 3. I don't tend to buy bike stuff that isn't sold at Adventure. Recently the only blog that I regularly religiously read, however pointed out to me a small fact which attracted my attention. These jerseys are cool, but they are NOT 3x cooler than any other jerseys on the market, heck I could have this jersey arrive on the same day as my 2009 Fat Cyclist jersey and I'm sporting the fatty until it smells too bad to wear and only then would I wear the RR jersey. For $220 these jerseys had better leak EPO into my blood while I'm riding, or monitor persperation rates, or spray tear gas at opposing riders.
PS: I've been debating Chamois Butter for the upcoming 24 hour race, but now I rally want to try some of this.
PPS: Does anyone have $30 I can borrow with no intent of ever paying back so that I can get this... I'm sorry I thought I was cured.
