Dream
While at work today I had a few minutes to spare and so of course I spent that time looking on the Jobs section of Specialized's website. While I was there I found my dream job. Team Technical Equipment Manager
Just look at the general description of the responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the procurement, supply, and support of the equipment to all SBC Pro/Amateur Athlete programs as well as technical mechanic support to key teams. Must be a positive spokesperson for Specialized.
One of the warnings in the working conditions section says that, "International travel required. International trips can last 1-2 weeks. Trips can be of emergency nature on a short notice due to urgency of team issues."
How amazing a job is this, the problem is that they want 4-6 years of shop experience and I only have 1ish and they also want pro-level wheel building abilites to my not really anything.
Anyway, now I just need to hope that whoever gets this job gives it up after 4-5 years so that I can take it later. How amazing would it be to get to provide bikes to the pros, and get to travel to Europe just to fix mechanical problems... man I want this job.
