Lets see--what's happened in the past month and a half...
I am an offical graduate of MSU. I don't know when I get my diploma, but I better get it soon. I kinda want to hug it. I know that's weird, but what can I say, I'm weird. I've been trying to write my personal statement for grad school for most of the summer, but it's really hard to get my words straight. I hope that between my thoughts and procrastination it gets done so I can be a student for the spring.
I'm currently enrolled in bartending school and I'm taking my test on Friday. First on the terms and alcohols and then there is the pour test. I have to pass the written before I can take the pour test so hopefully that goes well. There is lifetime job placement and they guarentee to get me a job within 60 days of getting certified. A job would be great. I miss having a steady job and a steady pay flow. It's nice.
TRUE BLOOD--possible spoiler alert:
The season finale of true blood was last night. I've read Living Dead in Dallas to see how it would compare. The similarities: parts of the Dallas story line and the fact there was a maenad in Bon Temp. That's about it. I liked how the show did it better. Maryann didn't just leave. She was gone and can never come back. I really wish the show had the exchange Eric and Sookie had where she invited him to an orgy to infultrate the party and Eric shows up in lyra pants and a hot pink tank top. I'm glad Hoyt grew a pair and showed up the Compton house to give Jessica flowers while she was feeding on a trucker. To my recollection, I think Maxine was her first taste of human blood because I'm not sure if she had any blood from what she ordered off the menu. It would explain a lot. Eric playing yatzee is utterly adorable. As the episode came to a close, I knew Bill was up to something because he was smiling way too much. Nice suit--french restaurant with just the two of them--I was waiting for the ring box.
It gave closure, had some WTF moments and put some questions on the table that I want answered. I think I might watch it again for further understanding.
Whoever wants to talk about TB, give me a call! ^_^
