I have been blessed

So I'm at lunch the other day at The Breakfast Club, which happens to be across the street from Obama headquarters. And the day we chose to go was also a day that Praise 92 FM was holding an event outside the restaurant, getting people to register to vote. And so inside the restaurant there was a large number of people, some of whom were inclined to be of a religious sort.

I'm sitting at my table with friends, and I have coffee and a coffee spoon, which I had picked up from an area about 20 feet away in the restaurant. There's a woman sitting alone at the table behind us, closer to said area. She's wearing a tiara, and looking over papers and such as she is also drinking her coffee. And apparently she does not have a spoon, because when she sees my spoon she asks my friend, who was closest to her, if I would let her use my spoon.

Really. I was somewhat taken aback when said friend relayed the request to me. I thought maybe he didn't hear her right, but no, she was asking to use my spoon, which I had already put in my mouth. She was then, one assumes, after using it herself going to return it to me.

So I said, "I've already put this spoon in my mouth. Why don't I just get you a new spoon?" And I walked over to the area with spoons, picked one up, and brought it back to her. And she was so happy, she took my hand and said, "Thank you. God bless you. God bless you for getting me this spoon."
