Hermione in a sexy little black dress. No, wait, Hermione unzipping a sexy little black dress. He had bought her favorite chocolates from Honeydukes for Valentine's Day, and she was rewarding him for remembering. Draco groaned internally, inconspicuously tugging at the collar of his shirt.
"Are you okay, Malfoy? You look uncomfortable…"
Draco turned to see the subject of his thoughts, also looking at the display of Patented Daydream charms in Weasley's shoppe. The back of his neck grew warm.
"Er, yeah…" he replied, dropping the charm back on the shelf. "Think I had some bad… fish."
He groaned internally again. Of all the things to say, he had to choose the most idiotic.
She looked at him strangely, but said nothing, examining the boxed charm in her hand.
"The magic used to create these is quite impressive, you know," Hermione said, looking up at him with a small smile. "You should try one."
She held out the one in her hand, their fingers brushing as he reached for it. The tips of his ears grew warm.
"Thanks."
She granted him another small smile, mischievous and hopeful, and walked away.
