Around the world with Draco and Hermione!
First stop: São Paulo, Brazil

The RUMBLE is going to be a fabulous success, if these first 10 drabbles are any indication!

(NOTE: banners will be up when they’re ready!)

The votes were very close to start off the challenge. I mean CLOSE! One point separated the winner from the next TWO drabbles. ONE POINT! So congratulations on a strong field and hard decisions!

The winner this week was greenschist, who wrote “Five Minutes,” a stirring drabble about Draco’s experiences in the Brazilian city with his parents contrasted with his time with Hermione. Congratulations!!

We started Mod’s Choice in Round 2 of this competition, and we just love it. Often the voting results are SO close that we wish more than one of the drabbles could have been recognized. This is how we get to do that! Mod’s Choice this week goes to somandalicious, who wrote “Something to Write Home About.” This drabble, told in a series of letters from Draco to his mother, is funny, sharp, and heart-warming. Congrats!!

Now we come to the part I hate. No, WAIT! We aren’t eliminating anyone! YAY! Everyone will be around next week for our next stop on our journey around the world. Stay tuned!!

The authors’ names have been revealed on the voting post.

VOTERS!
This segment of ldws is our newest addition. We are hoping to get you voters more involved, to reward you and thank you for participating in this challenge. Without you, we couldn’t operate!

Quick reminder of the rules: Voters were given the chance to leave their predictions for the top 3 drabbles. Points will be given for each correct guess, and shinies will be awarded to those with the most points.

The top 3 4! drabbles this week were: 9, 7, 1, and 5. Drabbles 7, 5, and 1 actually TIED for second place. So we’ll accept predictions with 7, 1, and 5 in either the 2nd or 3rd place positions.

ONE person nailed (one of) the (combinations for) top 3 this week! Congratulations to inadaze22 for correctly predicting not just the winner, but all three spots!

Voter count this week: 21. We can do so much better! Now that I’ve got pokeystar back full time, we’ll try to get some pimping materials put together that you can post on your LJs to encourage people to come over and vote.

Next challenge up soon!
