I'd like to leave a general, critical comment for all the participants, and forgive me if I seem pedantic. Last week, I found it fairly easy to choose my least favorite drabble simply because it was weak in terms of both grammar and content.

This week, however, is different because there is an even stronger collection of drabbles. I ended up with seven possible favorites. That's pretty remarkable out of a field of sixteen. However, four of those seven had grammatical errors and/or signs of sloppy proof-reading.

In good conscience I couldn't vote for a favorite which had mistakes when another piece, which was almost as good, had none. By default, then, the piece with more thorough proof-reading got my vote, but that might not have been the case.

For me, if the grammar obstructs my enjoyment of the story then I consider voting it as least favorite. The second thing I look for is story concept and freshness...but yes, grammar is always a biggie.

With that said...there were a lot of great ones in this batch !

There were definitely a few drabbles that had a couple of glaring oopsies. Obviously, they didn't have a second set of eyes look them over or these errors would have been caught.

Did it affect my overall decision in the fav/least fav choosing? No, since I found, unfortunately, that the drabbles with grammatical errors were also not as strong content wise.

My ultimate decision though in choosing my least favorite, was the simple fact that I lost interest about two or three verses in. If you lose me in under 250 words you don't get the vote. However, with that said, there were some simply beautiful pieces of work that conveyed a compelling story in detailed, yet concise touching ways!

Overall, EXCELLENT, everyone!

Cheers,
