This is such a fun story. I particularly like the ending -- there's something so erotic about Draco's peeling off Hermione's long glove (I'm sorry I couldn't find a picture of Emma wearing gloves!) and kissing her hand. It's hot because it's restrained but intimate, which is just right given that it's their first date.

And I love that final little detail, of Hermione's not hearing Draco Apparate away -- the way you imply he was making sure she was safe before he left.

And I would never have known that you felt uncomfortable writing OCs!

Ack, sorry for the late reply, I just now got a few days off and am trying to read ALL of the stories!

Anyway, I cannot thank you enough for the Beta-ing and the kind words. Also, the banner is FREAKING EPIC!!! And I like the idea of a protective boyfriend, so I had to give it to Draco. So glad you liked it and thanks for the encouragement.

!!!! I read this during my lunch break at work and I'm certain I looked silly trying to contain my enjoyment of this story! I love it!! I know you're a bit worried about the OC characters, but I think they worked out perfectly being the reason Draco and Hermione ended up connected. Plus, I can totally see Draco's dear old granddad having a second family and it only coming to light post-war.

I love how you put Hermione on the defense at first and have it be Draco who talks her down (and then at the end works her right back up ;)). I also love the comedic use of George, Ron and Harry. haha

“It’s a well-known fact that it takes five Slytherins to stir a cauldron; one to stir and four others to say that their father’s connections at the Ministry could get it done faster.” my absolute favorite line!!!! So true to George's character and very true of the Slytherins ( ... )

I feel like I know exactly the look you had while reading it - I've had that look reading fics before. Anyway, I'm so thankful the OCs weren't distracting and really good old Abraxis rarely gets any spotlight time and he was perfect for your prompt.

WOO OREGONIANS. Dare I ask if you're a Beaver or Duck fan?

Either way, thank you again for the challenging prompts and the review!

Lovely! Well done. I enjoyed George very much, especially his joke. And good for Ron, going along with the scheme, even though he was upset.

I like throwing George in whenever I can; he's instant comedy. And I like to think that in Dramione stories, Ron has grown a bit and can accept Hermione and her choices (even if it takes a bit of glaring from her and some sense-talking from Harry). Thank you for reading!

This was delightful - especially the Slytherin cauldron joke.

Brava!

Well it was initially going to be "how many Slytherins does it take to screw in a lightbulb"... But no one in the room would know what that was, so I had to get a little crafty (and Google may have helped a little). Glad you enjoyed it!

Awww! That was such a cute story! I loved troublemaking Astoria, and I really love how Ron "took one for the team". This was so much fun and a delight to read!

Though it's really J.K.s fault... I can't stand Astoria - I have always been a Dramione or Draco/Ginny shipper. Plus I always kind of see her as Regina George from Mean Girls... crafty, bitchy, beautiful, but ultimately evil. I was going to have her go searching for Hermione and Draco only to run into her date cheating on her, but I felt it may have been a little too harsh and taken away from our star couple.

Thank you for taking the time to read and review =)
