Just One Day to Go!
Posting will start tomorrow (Monday 15 October) -- Yay! -- but there are a few bits of business to sort out before we start.
Friends-locking
To ensure that we don't offend anyone by allowing under age readers to access mature material, all stories rated R and above will be friends-locked. If you are not yet a member of this community, and are looking forward to reading the stories, NOW IS THE TIME TO CHECK THAT YOU HAVE A VISIBLE AGE STATEMENT ON YOUR USER INFO PAGE AND THEN APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP!
Posting
I aim to post a duet every two days, but don't be surprised -- or alarmed -- if the schedule slips a bit. If it does, I'll keep you informed.
Please pimp dramione_duet! (I'll provide a little banner once posting starts. But don't forget to warn your friends that most of the stories will be f-locked).
Participants, since your stories are not posted anonymously, by all means link to them from your own journals, but please don't post them elsewhere until the exchange is complete and I have posted the Master List.
Commenting
Our participants and pinch-hitters have worked very hard to produce stories not just for their partners but for the entire dramione_duet community. Please take the time to thank them by commenting, and MAKE SURE that you comment if the story has been written for YOU! There are few things in life more distressing than hearing nothing back from your duet partner!
And PLEASE BE KIND. I'm sure I don't need to tell our members that flaming will not be tolerated, but also remember that this is not the place for detailed concrit. Just let the writers know how much you appreciate their hard work.
Prizes for commenting!
Finally, this year, I thought it would be nice to do something I've seen done in other fests -- I'm sorry, I don't remember exactly which -- and thank readers for their comments by giving them the opportunity to win prizes.
Once the Master List has been posted, I will ask all the participants to vote (secretly) for their three favourites of all the comments they've received, then I'll tally the votes and the THREE winning commenters will be able to choose a prize (either a drabble, or a story banner, or a small batch of icons)!
So if you want to win, join in (by commenting)!
