Hi everyone! I'm searching for a fic I started to read awhile back. It's a mature and dark alternate timeline that takes place during a war against voldemort. Draco has been captured and kept in azkaban and requests to only speak with hermione. She assumes that he's lost his mind but he's actually taken notice of this shadow that follows hermione around. I remember that the shadow feeds off of the death and destruction around her and that draco told her that purebloods used to use a contract with the shadows to protect themselves. If the shadow is not satisfied then it will turn against the witch or wizard. The ministry also begins to use imprisoned desth eaters as spies and hermione is furious because the death eaters used are considered replaceable. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I can't seem to find it anymore!
