Beta on the market, sort of

Howdy! I've been a member of this community for quite a while now, and though I've been a bit more of a ~lurker~ than an avid "hello, hi!" dramione fan, I've noticed that there have been quite a few beta-less authors around, and being a writer myself, I know how hard it is to find a productive beta ( Read more... )

I have been looking for a secondary beta for weeks now off of Perfect Imagination, and misc. lj beta comms with no luck.. It seems people only want to beta Dramione or slash fics, (funny that I'm posting this at the dramione comm.)... And as much as I love to read Dramione, I'm not good at writing that pair..

*sigh*

Hi there!
O, I know how tedious that is...

If you want to drop me a preliminary email on PA with a few dets on your fic, I'll see what I can do. I definitely am willing to beta for more than just Dramione fics, and I'd love to help you :)

Well I have an awaiting request email posted at PA which has almost been out for a week. I am almost positive that I won't get a response back from that beta, I wont be able to message you on PA for a few days..

I think the problem that I'm having is that my ff is a crossover between the Harry Potter and LOTR fandoms, and the pairing is Tom Riddle Jr./OC, so I suppose I can understand the lack of interest..

well if you're intrested in helping me out you can check out the story real quick at:

My primary beta is having internet connection issues and it usually takes her about 2 weeks to get a chapter back to me.. She helps alot with my grammar (I admit I have issues with run-on sentences), but I would love someone to help me out with character consistency, and plot development... hopefully PA will clear my request soon so that I can drop you a proper email. Thanks!

Ah, I just posted in this com looking for a beta for a D/Hr fic...perhaps you'd be interested? (If all these other requests aren't keeping you too busy, of course.) I'd really appreciate even a quick glance over.

Hmm. I'm relatively new to this lj thing (I don't use the features much, I'm afraid.) so PM is new to me. But email is totally doable. Comment back if you're interested and we'll get all settled with emails and such?

Yeah, I am quite busy at the moment - with homework mostly, but feel free to email me with your piece and I will try my best to fit it into my hectic schedule.
