Picspam: 5 Favorite "Glee" Performances

Feb 07, 2010 00:29

picspammy's challenge this month is for five things of something -- but no more than five. Here's my blatant attempt at not doing homework contribution for now!

5. Don't Stand So Close To Me/Young Girl (1x09, "Ballad")
I had never heard "Young Girl" until this point, but "Don't Stand So Close To Me" is one of my favorite Police songs, and it's SUCH a good mashup. Also, Matthew Morrison. I think Lea and Jayma are also amazing in this number, just dazzled little fangirls. And why shouldn't they be. It is Matthew Morrison. (Mr. Schue would probably be my teacher of choice to have a crush on as well. Except I never really did crushes on teachers. :\) (YouTube -- sorry for the bad quality but the only one I could find that was reasonably good quality was flipped and I just couldn't handle it. XD.)

4. Don't Stop Believing (1x01, "Pilot")
Another favorite song of mine, it just gives me chills. I love how it's just EXACTLY what Will needed to hear to pull him back towards doing what he loves, and I love how Sue/Quinn/Santana and Puck are all watching as well. It's like in a musical where we're just about to hit the climax of the second act and there's like four or five different lines of counterpart going on. I love the costumes, I love the lighting, and I love how they're just rocking out. (YouTube.)

3. It's My Life/Confessions (1x06, "Vitamin D")
Both of the mashup performances in this were just GREAT. I LOL so hard at both of them, but I love this one for mainly three reasons: 1. I think given what's going on with Finn and Quinn (like my mom says, they should have known it was doomed from the start) it's a much stronger statement, 2. Cory Monteith makes the most ridiculous faces and I love him for it, and 3. Kurt went so butch for this number. XD (YouTube.)

2. Don't Rain on My Parade (1x13, "Sectionals")
Lea Michele is fierce. She's awesome, and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. (YouTube.)

1. Keep Holding On (1x07, "Throwdown")
I can seriously watch this number ten times in a row and not get sick of it. I think it's so beautiful, and it's a very strong statement from the glee kids who have just spent the episode being pulled apart by their leaders. (Also, when Finn takes Quinn and Rachel's hands, all I can think is OT3!!) Love it. ♥ (YouTube.)
