Woohoo, I'm back! Before I say anything else, I want to say

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX!
Long may you reign, and many more to you. :)

Hey, its still May 5 in my part of the world. :D

Now, I must say thank you to everyone who wished me luck on the contest and beamed good thoughts toward me. I had a really good time, and the good thoughts worked! I got fourth in the Miss Majorette pageant (which is really good considering this is only my first year competing, and I haven't even been twirling for a full year yet), and I won my Springtime modeling, and now hold the title of Miss Springtime in my division. *curtseys*

My grandmother on my mom's side wanted to come to my baton competition, as we were only an hour away from her, and I just about screamed. Mema is like my mother, only one hundred times worse. Telling her that it was no more than sitting in bleachers and listening to march music for seven hours for me to do a two minute routine turned her off to that idea pretty quickly.

My interview questions were very neat, and both of the judges were really nice! Try answering these yourself. Make sure you elaborate nicely and avoid filler words. :)
1-If you could trade places with a character from a book, who would you be? (I chose Hermione Granger.)
2-Try projecting yourself ten years into the future, where do you think you'll be, what do you think you'll be doing? (Writing creatively or for a newspaper/magazine, maybe in a foreign country.)
3-What do you think is the biggest problem in your school? (Lack of tolerance.)
4-How would you solve this problem. (I don't think I gave an actual answer on this, I just sort of rambled.)

Oh yeah, you have to do all this with a smile on your face and sitting like Mia learned to in "The Princess Diaries". :D

My next big thing is my science project... okay... and after that I have the mission trip to Kentucky -- ten whole days away from my computer! Gasp! What will I do? Print off an insane amount of fic for me to read during that week, no doubt.

I am NOT feeling charitable towards my parents at the moment. Wednesday night, the computer desk was a mess, and my dad said I need to be more organized. So on Thursday night, amidst packing and homework, I cleaned up the desk. I come home last night and it looks like a tornado ran over the desk. And my mom was just being mom. She put so much hair spray in my hair yesterday, I swear there was a hole in the ozone layer right over my head. And I really want to play the saxophone for jazz band, but she won't let me, she has a personal grudge against a guy who played the sax. Well, maybe I'll play anyway. Its her grudge, not mine. She doesn't have to come to any jazz band concerts.

On the other hand, still didn't start Chapter 2 of Forgiven... dammit...

A Squee-worthy movie: Dr. Zhivago. We started watching it in World History, and I like it a lot! If you haven't seen it, you should!

Schnoogles and a cookie goes out to Cygnus, because he puts up with a lot of crap from us girls at FictionAlley Park. I got a 159 on that test he posted in his journal. Just one point shy of genius. Darnit.

Speaking of FictionAlley, we were on the front page of the New York Times! Talk about the Kings/Queens of New York. :P

seriously?, twirling
