Intro post: Dan Fielding
Dan Fielding. Actually, that's Assistant District Attorney Dan Fielding, to be precise. Soon-to-be Judge or possibly Senator. I haven't decided which race I'm going to take a crack at. It's time to put those...past elections...behind myself and look forward, into the future. Judge, I think would be nice. After over twenty years at the D.A.'s office I would love nothing more than to wear black satin and send people to jaiil!
I used to believe that hard work could get you anywhere, but I've been at the D.A.'s, as I said, for over twenty years, without a promotion, and believe me, I have worked hard. The only things I have to show for it are my condo and my (used) Mercedes. I do enjoy the high life, or as much as I can afford of the high life on my pittance of a public servant's salary. My good friend, Judge Harry Stone, says I'd have plenty of money if I didn't spend it all on ladies and liquor. I'm hardly an alcoholic, but I have been known to romance the women. And while I do enjoy both and have been known to be a tad...out there on occasion, I'm actually quite wise when it comes to investing money and I have been lauded for my skills as an attorney.
In the courtroom, I am all business and do not like when others don't take things as seriously as myself. I can, however, "razzle dazzle" them with legal tapdances if the situation calls for it. My conviction rate speaks for itself. It is quite high. Some might say this is because I've worked a good portion of my career in night court, where the court is full of crazies, but believe me, it's not as easy as it looks (oh, if only!). I look forward to broadening my social circle, which right now, consists of mostly my friends at night court, along with a handful of city luminaries.
