(no subject)
nothing exciting to report about jon. just a lot of talking and goofing around and it was cool. i'm too emotionally attached to him to just jump him. which sucks because that still means holly's a horndog. but regardless, it was a good time.
starting classes. i need to send in my final for American Lit to get the "incomplete" erased from my student records. I at least passed the other two classes (read: Cs), so no major complaints.
I'm *so* flippin' glad to be back home! weird stuff with Mom (she's distant, i'm trying to give her space) and i've got a therapy session with her that is going to be sort of confrontational (i have what i want to say all written out and will prolly post here soon).
I'm doing some major cool things with my art, including a canvas of a lotus faerie (faerie on a lotus flower) that's all textured and sort-of 3D. did a pastel drawing this morning that I love, but probably would never frame (it's sort of on the dark side. will try and scan and post here).
ERIN!!!! where are you? i know you're back from Cali, i saw you post! gimme a call, we need to do some apartment hunting while i have the money in my bank account for the deposit- LOL. and I need pie like crazy.
love my classes. online sociology (yay no class!), American Indian Literature, and 20th century Womyn writers. only MWF classes. One class on friday so woot!
Started paddling on Saturday. Mom and I did the clinic Saturday morning and the on-the-water dragon boat training after the Awakening Ceremony. We had our first Thin Mints (our dragon boat team- can you tell we're girlscout related?!) practice on sunday. OMG it was good! We're both very sore, but it felt so good. I haven't felt like this in a LONG time. not since dance. Having something leave you aching but feeling so alive and so whole! i'm looking into doing paddling year-round, maybe even going out for the Wasabi team after i get good (competitive team that does international races).
okay, need to go get my trimet pass!
