woot!
so the halloween party went friggin' awesome! not all 30+ people showed up, but it was okay anyway. Luckily, the most of fun of mom's friends were there, so conversation on the adult side was... interesting. Mom's got a friend, Jen, who sells sex toys. Needless to say, the convo focused on that for quite a while. After the new year, i'm dragging mom to one of the parties. Tiana, Jackie, and Jen have decided we have to go out for my 21st bday. Hopefully that will actually amount to something, since they're hillarious, and Mary Luz and Mom would have to come, and yes Erin, i'm dragging your ass along too. I tramatized (wowSP) Tiana with my lesbianism (since she wasn't too quick on the uptake during our sex talks earlier in the evening), and her reaction was amusing. not that i say "hey i'm a lesbo" for reaction reasons, but amusing reactions are an added bonus.
I got the nicest compliment from Jersey Bob (who is casey's friend, steph's, dad), he told mom i have a smile "that could light up a room." Mom suspects he has a bit of a crush on me. and then, of course, she goes on to say how 'zen' he is (he's a zen buddhist, acupuncturist, and tae kwon do black belt) and how sweet he is. At which time i pointed out that if he and i ended up together, i would have a step daughter the age of casey. she quickly went on to say that she wasn't pushing it, and he's too old, and it wouldn't work. ::rolls eyes:: i rolled my eyes at her and said again, "there's nothing there." and, HELLO!, still a dyke. but as mommy pointed out, i'm too smart to turn down someone who i have chemistry with due to gender. which *is* true. if there had been some earth-stopping connection with him, yeah, i wouldn't be so stupid as to say "ewww he's a boy" since i know just because i prefere girls does not mean the impossible isn't possible. but yeah... still a dyke, so not interested, but very pleased at the compliment.
the kids had an awesome time. MOm and i hosted games for them, and, being the awesome older sister i am, i did the cha-cha slide and electric slide with them. later in the evening steph, monique, and brighid did the macarena with me too. spanish version, of course, since i don't want them learning all about macarena and her cheating on her beau with his "two friends who are *so* fine." newho, yeah, good time had by all. i think i may have a sugar hang-over, but ohwell.
and yes, Momma C did walk around as Mother Nature, with grapes draped around her neck, offering her fruit to everyone. ::dieslaughing:: what can i say? perversion comes naturally to her. LOL
