What a fascinating look into Nina's head. I totally believe it. There are so many little details that gel with what we've seen--Hicks as a kind-of-morning person, Nina making him squirm with her boots, Rosen not avoiding eye contact, Nina not-crying.

The writing is great, too. It was easy to follow, even with the back-and-forth structure. Scary description of Binghamtom without being over-the-top.

The ending is just killer; I hope she's learned to see a little.

Thanks for the feedback! I love the idea of what Binghamton could be - Rosen thinks it's one thing, but it's becoming quite clear that it's something altogether different from the nice, positive facility he thinks it is and I think alleigences will definitely be tested when the truth is brought to light. And I'm really looking forward to that. :D

Thank you, thank you for writing and posting this. All I've been finding so far is Rachel/Gary stuff and that's just not my cup of tea, so this was a delightful change. I love your take on Nina, and I hadn't really considered it fully before but it does make sense that she would've been in Binghamton after what she did to her boyfriend (and I love your take on that too). She does walk this amazingly gray line that the others don't seem to where her powers are concerned. Gary may mis-use his accidentally but Nina uses her consciously and Rosen seems to be ok with that. Maybe he rationalizes that she's not actually hurting anyone but it still seems odd that he's so willing to overlook it.

Sorry to natter on but it's just really nice to have a thought provoking Alphas fic to ponder, thank you again for posting this!

I like Rachel and Gary, but I do wish there was more fic that focused on the others. But the fandom is new and I'm sure more will pop up in the future. :)

YES. This. Nina takes what she wants - and while it might be designer clothes and cars and her fancy apartment, it's an abuse of her abilities and no one seems to pick her up on that, particularly Rosen. It will be interesting to see if this issue is raised in future episodes.
