Dream Journal #2

Had another dream last night that was short enough and simple enough to express in words. It was also pretty damn creepy.

I dreamt Wolfen had got up and left the flat again after work, so I was alone in the flat, still asleep in bed. As far as I was aware I wasn't dreaming. I suddenly became aware that I was up and out of bed, approaching the bedroom door. I was moving as if I was in a dream-like state, yet I was still fully concious and could think clearly, which led me to believe I was sleep walking again, which is something that I do from time to time.

As I got close to the door I reached out to pull on the door handle, missing a couple times. It was like being so very, very drunk. On the second or third attempt I managed to grab the handle and pull the door towards me, except that the door only opened about half way, giving me a glimpse into the hallway before being pulled shut again. I saw what I can only describe as a shadowy figure, stood right on the opposite side of the door, who I deduced must be holding the door closed. At first I thought it was Wolfen, but quickly remembered he'd left. I then remembered that I -must- be sleep walking, and it'll just be a hallucination.

I tried the door again in my drunk-like state, but this time it was firmly shut, I could barely get it to budge. I managed to try a few more times before I felt my balance starting to go, legs weakening below me. My sub-concious had realised that I was moving while dreaming and wasn't happy about it and had started to fix that. I managed to turn slightly while slowly collapsing to gently land on the bedroom floor, sprawled on my front, quickly fading back to sleep.

I was woken up again, the sound of dragging, the sudden awareness of something that had grabbed me by the shoulders. I couldn't move, sleep paralysis had set in, another common thing I suffer from. My eyes where half open, allowing me to see the hallway wall right in front of my face, slowly moving by with each dragging sound. I was being dragged down my own hallway by -something-. My sleep paralysis wore off before the front door, I could feel that if I wanted to I could move. I tried to keep my breathing 'sleep-like' so that whatever was dragging me didn't know that I had awoken, in an attempt to give me the element of surprise as I tensed up, ready to struggle.

And then I woke up. In bed.
