Danish Festival Day 1
Danish Festival weekend has begun and Greenville is a hustling and bustling town. Everyone has flooded into town to see all the festivities. I went into town to Veterans Park and I bought jewelry. I got 4 bracelets and 3 anklets. One of the anklets is for my grandma because it is red and purple and has a red hat dangling from it (GO RED HAT SOCIETY). And two of the bracelets are a couple dear friends of mine...so we will all match. Oh, and I bought a link for my add-a-link bracelet. It says "PRIDE" and the letters are in rainbow order. Oh yea, I have have "pride" for my people...Then I headed downtown to get into the rest of the stuff that was going on. I got some lunch at the greek stand (YUMM) and walked up and down the streets. I came across something that we have never had at Danish Festival...A HENNA TATTOO STAND! I was all happy so I got a henna tattoo around my ankle with a dragonfly on the side. Of all the stands set up, that one was the coolest. I also got an air brush tattoo on my arm of a set of eighth notes. But instead of the heads of the notes being black circles, they are red hearts. Tomorrow is the Grand Dansk Parade and I have to march with the band...we are #60 so we are in the first third of the parade. I hope to go into town tomorrow and but more useless junk.
