HAHA I was once a contestant on this show.
Well not only me but my gym juniors too. We were doing CIP, going around begging people for donations. Just as we were about to call it a day with our miserable collection, we saw Mediacorp actor Mark Lee and crew filming for this show. In case you don't know (which I think you won't), the show involves contestants attempting to beat a certain record set by the two special celebrity guests of every episode - they get 50 bucks if they manage to beat it. Challenges vary from episode to episode. Towards the end of the show, both celebrities will choose their best competitor to battle it out, and the winner will get more $$$.
So basically, it all started when we asked Mark Lee for donations. He gave us only 50cents or smth I think and we were like give us moreeee. So then he went "Okay I challen yall!", he meant to say "challenge". & that's how we became contestants on the show. The challenge for that episode was to open a can using the traditional can opener within 30 seconds. It was mayhem as we took turns to STAB JAB BEAT the damn can open. Imagine 4 IJ girls attacking the poor can, screaming. Minutes later, we managed to open it. Oh, the can opener broke too. In the end, they still gave us the money as a donation - 50 bucks into my donation bag man wooo ~ I remember being the 2nd highest collector that day. The highest collector must have been so passionate over community work.
P/S. I'm desperately hoping to get the video for this, since I accidentally deleted it last time :/ It would be nice to share with the gym girls and remind them of how horrendous we behaved
