Memorial Day
Today was a good day. Mitch cooked ribs on the grill, and they were delish! Mady had her first bite of baked beans. We had ribs, baked beans, cole slaw, and sweet potatoes for lunch. Then Mady and Kallie went down for a nap, and Misty and Tanner went outside to play in the rain. The way it rains here, the rain collects at the curb and rushes down like a stream. Misty and Tanner were running in it, laying in it and picking out leaves and letting them race down the road. Hilarious. Tanner kept screaming that he was a hobo. We found Luna's kittens today too, two black kittens and two calico's. Mady didnt want to play with the kittens, she just wanted Sabrina. Weird how she has a preference for cats.
I've been reading this young readers series about Gods and demigods, the Olympians called Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I am on book three and hope to finish it tonight. So far so good. Very educational. I've learned about some gods and monsters whose name I had never heard of before.
Ran 2 plus miles tonight. I hope it gets easier. My legs keep hurting and aching.
Mady said dada again tonight. She has a horrible diaper rash. It makes me feel so sad for her. I am so glad the kids are going back to school tomorrow. They get so annoying when they are home all day long, they start screaming at each other and fighting. Oi vay!
