Hi

Oct 30, 2005 13:29

Its been a while since I have updated....Things have been sooo busy. One of my workers quit, and we have been splitting up his duties between the three of us.
My supervisor told me on Friday I was getting promoted to Clinical Liaison, but its not official until Tuesday. WOO HOO for me!

This week we have our annual Employee Conference in Memphis, so I will be home Monday thru Saturday, but, on Thursday I am going to New York with my friend Judy...We are auditioning for Who Wants to Be A Millionaire....Exciting eh? I know!

I guess I should go ahead and say this....I told some people, but others don't know...Mitch and I are going through the process of adoption....We are going to adopt an older child (or a sibling set of two) from the foster care system...We have already been to two out of the five classes, but you want to hear something funny? The parenting/training classes are the same ones that I teach! HA! So...It will be a while before we actually have some children, but, just wanted to let you know so you aren't surprised when it actually happens.

I am still in graduate school...I am in my third semester this fall, Psychology of Grief, Death and Dying & Human Sexual Development. Hopefully I can keep my 4.0 gpa this semester.

I am going on a cruise to Mexico in December, with Mitch, my mom, Greg, Chris, my cousin April, my great aunt Ann and uncle Joe....Its going to be so much fun! And then, in June of next year, Mitch and I are going to Ireland for a week...Its already been booked. I am so excited. I love traveling!!

I am very excited, b/c I am going to a doctor on November 9th to get my PCOS checked out, and hopefully get my metformin prescription to help out. Yes, I have a medical condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, with insulin resistance (precursor to diabetes). My body does not break down sugar, it stores it, which is why I have such a hard time losing weight. Mitch and I have worked very hard this year, and I have lost 25 lbs. I have a goal of 15 more by the end of the year, which, if I get the metformin prescribed to me, it will help me out a lot...I have been waiting for this appointment since MAY. Yes, you heard me right, May. So. There. You all know I have this disease.

Ok, thats about all for now. I am looking forward to the movies this winter season, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (which I am re-reading right now), The Chronicles of Narnia, and Memoirs of a Geisha! Good times!
