Yesterday was my final day of
Couch to 5K!
Hooray! I can indeed run five kilometers. At my current pace, it takes me between thirty-five and forty minutes, which is significantly slower than the thirty minutes it used to take me. But I'm confident that in time, I'll pick up speed.
Haroo! My last run of the program was some kind of arduous. It was cold, rainy and my long weekend of Thanksgiving gluttony took it's toll. Results - something akin to running, but slower and with more whining.
Nom! Nom! Nom! My runner's appetite has returned. If you have food, hide it! Otherwise it's at risk of being devoured. Case in point, I'm eating my second breakfast as we type this. (I feel most hobbit-y).
Drama King and I are doing our first race as a couple this Sunday. Mental note: lay off the tryptophan.
In other foot related development, I am in love! Behold these
most fetching boots. Four-hundred-plus dollars for boots is a major splurge to be sure, but I'm prepared to save up my pennies and indulge.
Is there such thing as THIRD breakfast?
