Dear
starfishchick and
anglaisepaon,
Currently I have four books on the go: The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf, She's Such A Geek: Women write about science, technology & other nerdy stuff edited by Annalee Newitz and Charlie Anders, Gay L.A.: A history of sexual outlaws, power politics and lipstick lesbians and It's Easy Being Green: A handbook for earth-friendly living. I'm also picking my way through select portions of Best American Erotica 2005 and Smart Girls Do Dumbells.
The other day, I told my friend
tinkerspink that while I love novels, the past few years I've really gravitated towards non-fiction reading. It was TS who observed that novels lend themselves to longer, more leisurely reading sessions while non-fiction can be consumed piecemeal. I think non-fiction reading fits in with my lifestyle a little more easily -- especially now that I'm a parent.
I like posting about books. Thanks for asking!
Love,
DQ23
Dear
anglaisepaon,
You wanted to know what I'm listening to these days. I'm pretty much all about custom mixes on my iDevices. Drama King and I watched
Roll Bounce last week. My 70's era disco and funk mix has been getting a lot of play ever since.
Thanks for asking!
Love,
