(no subject)
Ok here I am, updating! This weekend was how you say....interesting? lol I felt like I lived at the school after yesterday. I got up at 3:10 AM! We had to be at the school by 5 which actually wasn't that bad. I love it when it's really early in the morning and it's dark and it seems like there is no one alive in the world. lol The whole yoga thing with Clarky wasn't as nice as I remember it to be. I was ready to sit up before he ended his little "dramatic interpretation" of our show. I was really uncomfortable. My arm was bothering me (it's weird, cuz I can't have my left arm down at my side for a very long time cuz it starts to get uncomfortable, it doesn't hurt, but it just feels weird so I have to bend it...it's messed up...), my neck is really sensitive and my shirt kept riding up onto my neck and it was driving me CRAZY, and my hair was put up and hairsprayed and bobbypinned a million times so I couldn't lay my head flat I had to have it turned cuz I couldn't take my hair out. So I was just glad that we only have three songs this year for Clark to go through....very.....slowly. lol
The bus ride there was nice, I loved it being dark. The warm-up wasn't bad, it was cold. Our performance....sucked. The hashes screwed everybody up. They put tape on the ones that we weren't supposed to use which totally confused me. I thought sine they had taped those that we needed to use those ones, but they were so close together they didn't seem right so that confused me even more. Getting off the field was just as confusing as the football game on Friday. At least no one yelled "GO!!!!!" lol That made me so mad. I'm sure I look like crap in the picture cuz I was all sweaty. lol We went back to the school and unfortunately it was light out by then. We had "nap time" which was kinda uncomfortable. We were in the choir room on the floor. I was half under the risers. It took forever, I think I might have slept for like 10 minutes...maybe a little more. I don't even know if I fell asleep. Anyway...it was boring. We couldn't talk at all, people kept getting yelled at for it. We were all excited when they told us it was over, everybody else started groaning and we jumped up and practically ran out. haha Lunch was okay....my bread had mold on it. It was pretty sick. After that we watched our performance......ICK. Then we practiced on the football field next to Scripps. It was definitely the wrong size and we kept getting our drill wrong. The clarinets kept getting yelled at, I wanted to punch Clark in the face. lol But then it finally ended.....*Christine if you read this...the bus wasn't the same without you! lol You will be missed on the buses....and doing our little "jumping thing" lol. GOOD LUCK AND FEEL BETTER. You better whimper! Cuz I updated and you said you would. LOL! I don't know why it's so funny. Just like BEEF!*
We didn't place top ten. HA BIG SURPRISE. We're going up against some of the best bands from around the country, we totally stunk up the field, there was no way we were gonna make it. We didn't even get a Division 1 rating, we got a 2. Oh well....we got to go home. On the way home they gave us chocolate and I got it on my uniform...so now I have to get it dry cleaned AGAIN. The band boosters provided "dinner" for us. Except it wasn't dinner, it was just a bunch of snack food. So I didn't eat it, even though Steele wanted us to. Then I went home, had thai food, and went to bed at like 8:45. I slept til noon. I'm still really tired, I want to sleep. Except I have homework. ERG I'm gonna go now. BYE
