Everything!

I know it's been a couple days since the competition but I have to write about it so years from now I can come back and read about how amazing it was. hehe I've been going back and reading my old journal entries all the way back to last year in marching band, this year is so much better. Anyway...we placed 5th out of 8. STUPID. Plymouth Canton won as usual. It's such a set-up. They should be disqualified so some other poor band that works their butt off too can get a shot at first place for once. Practice before was ok. I didn't like wearing my shako too much cuz I sweat so much and it ruined my poor bangs. I looked like crap the rest of the day. Oh well, that's allowed in marching band. lol The bus rides were amazing as usual. Some of the stupidest things happen but they are so funny. I can't explain it, it was just amazing. The competition itself was amazing. I thought we did really good. I had a really good feeling when we came off the field. Too bad we really looked like crap. It was fun nonetheless. We watched it yesterday in class. They made sure to point out all the mistakes, lol. Especially the clarinets.

I love being a clarinet. Except today we hardly moved. We got to move 12 counts at the end one time. Oh and we got to move our feet for plus ones and minus ones. It was special. But I love being a clarinet anyway. Especially when we were learning that part of the drill and the clarinets were practically sleeping on the field. Yesterday during practice we got to sit down too. Poor brass. They never get the pleasure that we do. Oh well, sucks to be them. Today during class since the clarinets were standing still and not doing drill we had to play the whole time and Ms. Kline was near us the whole time and I was practically learning my music on the spot so if she came by me I would be able to play and I wouldn't get yelled at. At least I know it now.

Ooh. Ooh. Did I write about the game? That was mondo fun too. Alysha came over for a little bit before half time so I was talking to her instead of playing with the band like I'm supposed to. hehe The half time show kind of sucked, so did pre-game but oh well. It was good practice for the competition. Friday during school I didn't go, I just went in during 4th hour to rehearse pre-game drill. It was sweet. I didn't feel like writing a paper on my birthday so my mom just suggested I skip the day. So I did. But I had to go in for the drill cuz we hadn't rehearsed it in awhile. I'm definitely glad I did cuz we worked out how to get on the field and stuff like that. I would have been totally lost. After the game I actually ran around the colorguard. Last year I never did, it was pretty fun. Then the drumline played Hey Drummers and I actually danced to that, hehe. I was having a good time. Whoot, I love band.

I can't wait until Homecoming! The game that is. I'm not going to the dance, only if I manage to get a date. I am not going stag this year. It's way too boring and way too much of a waste of money to go alone and have a horrible time for a third year in a row. My dad keeps pestering me to go with a date and I keep telling him that in order to do that I would actually NEED A DATE. There's only one guy I would go with and I don't see that happening (For specific unmentionable reasons). Even though I really really really really really really really really wanna go with him. Oh well....I love to dress up. That's why I love going. :-(

I get my varsity jacket in an hour! YAY Finally. Now it just has to get cold so I can wear it. Whoot. Well I have to go. BYE
